BOSTON, SHANGHAI, and SUZHOU – October 13, 2026, SanegeneBio, a clinical-stage biotechnology company developing innovative RNAi therapeutics, today announced that interim Phase 2 results of SGB-9768, an experimental siRNA medicine targeting complement C3, have been accepted for poster presentation at the American Society of Nephrology (ASN) Kidney Week 2026, October 22-25, 2026, in Denver, CO.
The interim Phase 2 results in patients with IgA nephropathy, C3 glomerulopathy and primary immune-complex membranoproliferative glomerulonephritis (IC-MPGN), including the UPCR, eGFR and safety endpoints, will be presented for the first time during ASN Kidney Week 2026.

About SGB-9768
SGB-9768 is a GalNAc-conjugated experimental RNAi-based medicine designed to silence C3 mRNA in hepatocytes, thereby inhibiting complement activation. It is being developed for the treatment of complement-mediated kidney diseases and hematologic disorders, including IgA nephropathy (IgAN), C3 glomerulopathy (C3G), IC-MPGN, paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH) and atypical hemolytic uremic syndrome (aHUS). In Phase 1 clinical trials, SGB-9768 has demonstrated significant, dose-dependent, sustained reduction in serum C3 levels and inhibition of alternative pathway activity following a single-dose subcutaneous administration, supporting the potential for infrequent dosing. With a favorable safety profile and greater durability than comparator molecules, SGB-9768 has the potential to become a best-in-class RNAi therapeutic for complement-mediated diseases. SGB-9768 is currently being evaluated in a Phase 2 clinical study and has received U.S. FDA Orphan Drug Designation for the treatment of C3G and IC-MPGN.
