SanegeneBio is currently seeking a Senior Associate Scientist or Scientist I (title dependent on prior experience and capabilities) to join our team to advance our RNAi technologies and programs.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Perform bioconjugations of oligonucleotides with small molecules, peptides, and antibodies.
  2. Develop analytical and preparative HPLC/LC-MS methods to characterize and purify oligonucleotide conjugates.
  3. Identify critical issues in conjugation and purification and solve the problems effectively.
  4. Maintain a high level of productivity, track progress against project timelines, and communicate progress in a timely manner.
  5. Maintain a well-documented laboratory notebook and participate in tech-transfer within different teams/organizations.
  6. Present research progress at meetings/with collaborators.

Qualifications

  1. A Ph.D. in synthetic chemistry or oligonucleotide chemistry, or a master’s degree in the above fields with 3+ years industry experience.
  2. Ability to solve challenging synthetic chemistry problems in creative and effective ways.
  3. Expert knowledge of techniques related to purification and characterization of oligonucleotide compounds.
  4. Current with chemistry literature and contemporary working knowledge of emerging synthetic methodologies and technologies.
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and thrive in a team environment.
  6. Excellent attention to detail, organization, presentation, and documentation skills.
  7. Hands-on experience with oligonucleotide conjugation is a big plus.
