SanegeneBio is currently seeking a Senior Associate Scientist or Scientist I (title dependent on prior experience and capabilities) to join our team to advance our RNAi technologies and programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform bioconjugations of oligonucleotides with small molecules, peptides, and antibodies.
- Develop analytical and preparative HPLC/LC-MS methods to characterize and purify oligonucleotide conjugates.
- Identify critical issues in conjugation and purification and solve the problems effectively.
- Maintain a high level of productivity, track progress against project timelines, and communicate progress in a timely manner.
- Maintain a well-documented laboratory notebook and participate in tech-transfer within different teams/organizations.
- Present research progress at meetings/with collaborators.
Qualifications
- A Ph.D. in synthetic chemistry or oligonucleotide chemistry, or a master’s degree in the above fields with 3+ years industry experience.
- Ability to solve challenging synthetic chemistry problems in creative and effective ways.
- Expert knowledge of techniques related to purification and characterization of oligonucleotide compounds.
- Current with chemistry literature and contemporary working knowledge of emerging synthetic methodologies and technologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and thrive in a team environment.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, presentation, and documentation skills.
- Hands-on experience with oligonucleotide conjugation is a big plus.
