We are seeking an Associate Scientist, Conjugation (Chemistry) to join our team. This role will support oligonucleotide synthesis, conjugation, and analytical activities for nucleic acid therapeutics programs, collaborating with cross-functional teams. This position provides an opportunity to develop hands-on expertise in synthesis and analytical workflows while supporting project needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform oligonucleotide synthesis and preparation to support support nucleic acid drug research.
- Operate oligonucleotide synthesizers (e.g., Dr. Oligo 48, Dr. Oligo 192, MerMade 12) to complete routine synthesis; optimize conditions and troubleshoot issues.
- Maintain and ensure proper use of synthesis equipment.
- Conduct analytical testing using HPLC, LC-MS, and related techniques.
- Assist in updating and improving SOPs for oligonucleotide synthesis.
- Participate in purification and formulation preparation as needed.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support project needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of organic synthesis principles.
- Ability to analyze and solve technical problems independently.
- Proactive, well-organized, and capable of driving tasks and projects forward.
- Strong communication skills, including English proficiency and presentation abilities.
- Good teamwork skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
